Forum: ‘Raise the Charter School Cap?’

Question 2 would authorize the approval of up to 12 new charter schools or enrollment expansions in existing charter schools by the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education per year.

Proponents say this would provide more educational opportunities open to all families, while opponents say it would drain public funds while benefiting only a small number of students.
