Help Yourself Herb Spirals at Florence Organic Community Garden

On Saturday, April 27th, 2013 Help Yourself! started building a perennial herb garden on a 10′ X 20′ plot at The Florence Organic Community Garden. Two “Herb Spirals” were made with walking paths connecting them, and each was planted with perennial plants such as Bee Balm, Walking Onion, Solomon Seal, and Mint, to name a few. The garden is part of Help Yourself’s initiative to plant public herb and vegetable gardens, as well as fruit and nut trees that anyone can tend to and pick and eat from. If you have a plot at FOG, or are curious about the perennial herbs listed above and others, stop by our plot to smell, taste, and ask questions of the plants!
